Life hurts.
You’ve probably heard it said that hurt people, hurt people. Sometimes we cause pain for ourselves, and other times we cause pain for those around us. It takes a brave person to admit that when they’re stuck, and they don’t know what to do next.
When we don’t know how to resolve the pain that we’re feeling, we can lash out at those around us. At times, we may even turn to substances or behaviors that leave us feeling even more ashamed and alone.
There is hope; healing through
relationships.
Even though relationships may be the source of our hurt, they can also be the beginning of our healing. Restoration begins with connection. Learning how to connect with ourselves and with others in authentic ways provides us with a life of health and recovery.
The greatest changes are possible when we choose recovery in the context of relationship.
